Judge Williams on CMLS
“I am pleased to take this opportunity to compliment Director Tom Jones and all the workers and volunteers of [Christian Mens Life Skills] for so many years of exemplary and sacrificial service to men in need. I also want to commend CMLS for its participation with the Adult Probation Department of the 216th District Court. As you know I presided as District Judge of the 216th District Court from 2009 until my retirement in 2020.
CMLS has been a valued provider of essential services to the Adult Probation Department program. I found that the majority of probationers who entered your program benefitted greatly from CMLS's training, education, prayers, community service, occupational training, life skills, financial courses, counseling, and more, all with the focus on the values of family, faith and the ultimate goals of no recidivism and of reentering the work force and supporting themselves and their families as law abiding citizens.
CMLS has contributed greatly to the lives of these men who are in great need of solid Christian male role models, encouragement, life skills and in finding a renewed purpose in life. CMLS helps the probation department in its objectives to prepare and equip these men, with new self confidence. I strongly recommend CMLS to any program or entity serving those in need of a fresh and faithful new journey in life. ”
